Some customers might not wish to make payments via credit card, PayPal or cryptocurrency. However, they will still be able to place their orders if you set up a Manual Payment method. When a customer selects one of your custom manual payment methods, you can settle the payment transaction outside of your checkout flow on Dshop.
Note that all of your orders that are paid for via a manual payment method will be marked as unpaid on the Orders page. Once you receive the payment, you can manually mark the order as "paid" and proceed to fulfill the order. Some examples of manual payment methods include bank transfers, QR codes for various payment providers and cash on delivery.
To get started with manual payments, go to Settings > Payments and look for Manual Payment Methods.
Click on "+ Add payment method", then enter the name of your payment method, additional details and payment instructions. You can also upload an image of a QR code.
In Payment method name, enter the name of the payment method you want to set up, for example: bank transfer, gift card, cash cash on delivery, money order etc.
In Additional details, enter the text that you want shown next to the payment method in your checkout, for example "Pay via bank transfer".
In Payment instructions, enter all relevant instructions that your customer will need in order to successfully complete their payment. These instructions are shown on the payment page during checkout when a customer clicks on "how to pay".
When you're done setting up your manual payment method, click "save". You will see your new payment method appear under Manual payment methods under Settings > Payments.
Before you finish, remember to click the "Update" button on the right corner of your Settings screen, and then Publish your changes to make it visible to the world.
Your customers will now be able to make payments via your new payment method!
